About

Nicole Weeger is a Berlin- and Paris-based graphic designer, writer and editor working across visual identity, typography, editorial and cultural projects. Her work combines design, language and cultural analysis with a particular interest in urban visual systems, public typography and multilingual perspectives. Influenced by metro systems, street signage and European city landscapes, she explores how words, symbols and visual structures shape perception, orientation and collective memory. A long-term research and publication project focuses on the typography of international underground rail systems, including Paris, Berlin, Stockholm and New York.
Alongside commissioned and independent design projects, Nicole works on queer cultural and editorial initiatives. In 2021, she initiated the project 99Bi-ographies, focusing on bisexual visibility and representation. From 2022 to 2025, she co-created the project Haiku meets Art together with Michael Georg Bregel, combining illustration and haiku poetry in monthly publications for the Bisexuelles Journal.
She also contributes as an editor, writer and designer to the Bisexuelles Journal and has published work on queer culture, identity and society. Many of these ideas continue on wortfragmente.de, a side for literary, philosophical and cultural analysis, where fragmented observations of language, identity, urban life and visual culture intersect with essayistic and analytical writing.
Nicole studied graphic design with a focus on UI/UX design and is currently completing a Master’s degree in newer German literature while also studying law.
