An diesem Tag begannen in New York die Stonewall Riots , bei denen sich queere Personen, insbesondere auch Bi‐ und Transpersonen und People of Color, vor dem Stonewall Inn in der Christopher Street erstmals nachdrücklich gegen Polizeigewalt wehrten. June 28, 1969 is one of the most important days for the queer community. It was on this day that the Stonewall Riots began in New York, where queer people, in particular bisexuals, trans people and people of color, first strongly resisted police violence in front of the Stonewall Inn on Christopher Street.
